Apply now: Master in Contemporary Diplomacy

The Master/Postgraduate Diploma in Contemporary Diplomacy, offered through the University of Malta, allows diplomats and other international relations professionals to continue studies while remaining on the job. The programme lasts 1.5 - 2 years and includes a 10-day residential workshop in Malta followed by online learning. To read more, visit the programme webpage. Global Norms against Terrorism

In May/June 2009, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and Diplo will run two online courses (one in English and one in French) on the universal legal regime against terrorism. The courses are offered free of charge as a UNODC capacity-building initiative. For more information please visit the UNODC website.

Malta, Mexico and Switzerland cooperate for diplomatic training

Malta, Mexico and Switzerland today signed a Memorandum of Understanding to initiate cooperation in online diplomatic training. The three countries plan to work together in developing and delivering online courses for diplomats and others involved in managing global issues.

Workshop on Modern Diplomacy for Small States

On 17 June Diplo successfuly completed a workshop on "Modern Diplomacy for Small States". The workshop focused on current diplomatic challenges and organisational needs of small states. It was organised by Diplo and supported by the Commonwealth Fund for Technical Cooperation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malta.

 

Climate Change Diplomacy

Diplo will run its recently developed online course on Climate Change Diplomacy two times in 2009, starting in June and October. Full scholarships available for diplomats, civil servants and academics from small and developing states, with the support of the Maltese MFA.
